Apple Pie Cocktail

This amazing cocktail completely embodies the flavours of Autumn. The sweetness of the apple and cinnamon sugar along with the apple cider completely cuts the spicy whiskey and makes this cocktail almost too easy to drink. Vanilla liquor also adds a nice smooth tone to make it taste exactly like you are eating an apple pie. A few quick shakes and you’ll be enjoying this cocktail!

  • Wet the rim of a glass with a tiny bit of the apple cider and then dip the rim into the apple and cinnamon sugar. Set the glass aside and use the left over apple cinnamon sugar in the next step.
  • In a cocktail shaker, mix the vanilla liquor, fireball whiskey, apple cider, cinnamon and the remaining apple and cinnamon sugar. Stir everything together first with a long spoon just to slightly mix the ingredients.
  • Add several cubes of ice to the cocktail shaker, cover and shake vigorously to thoroughly blend the ingredients.
  • Pour the apple pie cocktail onto the prepared glass with or without the ice cubes (depending on your preference).
  • Enjoy while cold!

This drink is also fantastic when served hot and will warm you up from the inside out. Simply bring the apple cider to a boil along with the apple and cinnamon sugar and cinnamon. Turn off the heat and add the vanilla liquor and whiskey. Serve warm in mugs for a nice fireside drink

If you would like your drink to look a little fancier, garnish with a cinnamon stick and a slice of apple.

If you are unable to find vanilla liquor, make the cocktail with 1 1/2 ounces of fireball whiskey and 1/8 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
